Last Exit To Springfield

So many iconic lines and moments in this episode. It is generally ranked as being one of the best of all time and is on several Top 10 lists. The BBC stated it is "frequently cited as the show's best-ever episode."

"Dental plan, Lisa need braces..."

Homer At The Bat

An episode with one of the greatest songs from any Simpsons episode.

"Well, Mr. Burns had done it, The Power Plant had won it, With Roger Clemens clucking all the while, Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile, While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the bar-room tile..."

You Only Move Twice

Homer moves the family after he’s offered a new job at a company, run by the not-so-secret super-villain Hank Scorpio. Many people on Twitter and other social media outlets have argued that this is the best ever episode. It's a pity we've not heard much of Hank Scorpio since. It was reported that he was due to feature in The Simpsons Movie but the part was scrapped.

Homer's Barbershop Quartet

One of many flashback episodes. Homer Simpson recounts the story about the time he was in a barbershop quartet. The episode makes several references to the Beatles. Their first album, Meet the Be Sharps, is a clear and obvious parody of the Meet the Beatles!

Marge vs. The Monorail

Mr. Burns is fined $3 million and, in their wisdom, the people of Springfield decide spends the money on a monorail system. The episode features many incredible lines and moments. Is there a chance the track could bend?

Bart's Comet

The end is nigh for the town of Springfield as a comet hurtles towards them. An episode where Homer Simpson made an accurate Scientific prediction. The video below features a clip from the episode.

Austria returned to a Covid-19 lockdown on Monday morning. People in the country are not allowed to leave home except to go to work, shop for essentials and exercise. Thousands of people throughout the country took to the streets on Saturday to protest against the mesures measures.  Some people are blaming the government for not doing more to avert the latest coronavirus wave crashing into Europe. They are also imposing a sweeping vaccine mandate from 1 February. They join the Vatican as the only places in Europe with such a requirement. Several countries across Europe have reintroduced curbs. Some have started to ban unvaccinated people from venues including restaurants and bars. Not since the Covid vaccination was introduced has an EU country had to re-enter a nationwide lockdown. This decision destroys some of the earlier promises that tough virus restrictions would no longer happen.
